Executive Director
Brenda Smith-Williams has been the executive director of D.R.E.A.M.S. Treatment Services, Inc. (DREAMS) since July 2005. She is also the co-founder of DREAMS, along with her husband, Kenneth Williams.
A native of Wadesboro, NC, Brenda has lived in Greensboro since 1990. She has been dedicated to the prevention, education and treatment of substance abuse for more than twenty years. Please see the link below for a copy of her resumé and more detailed information about her experience and expertise.
After graduating from Saint Augustine's College with B.A. in English Education and Journalism, Brenda taught high school English for several years. However, her life took a turn when she discovered her passion for substance abuse education and treatment. 
She made the decision to seek dual master's degrees in Student Personnel and Agency Counseling from NC A&T State University. She received both, graduating cum laude.
Brenda's years of varied experiences have equipped her to effectively serve as the executive director of DREAMS. But it is her passion, dedication and perseverance that truly qualify her to serve this under-served, sometimes un-served, population.
