Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. Responsible for clinical assessments, interventions and referrals utilizing the diagnostic criteria from DSM-IV Revised and ASAM level of care. Possess the ability to assess substance withdrawals and co-occurring disorders. Duties include individual and group counseling; a thorough knowledge of medical records standards, regulations and diagnostic instruments; attendance at treatment team meetings; and other related duties. The setting provides regular clinical supervision, case staffing and the opportunity to become part of a dynamic clinical team.
Requirements: MS or MSW degree in counseling, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, two years clinical work experience; must be eligible for licensure in NC as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker and NC Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and must be Certified Clinical Supervisor or willing to obtain certificate. Applicant must be computer literate with a commitment to use technology; should possess knowledge in course development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic counseling; have ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families, the community and staff. Applicant must have a valid NC driver’s license with a clean record.
Supervisory and Medicaid billing experience preferred but not required. Salary based on experience and education.
